Welcome to the website of the Department of Applied Sustainability.

Our website aims to present you information – in a user friendly form – about the Environmental Engineer profession and competences as well as the skill – and how we train for the practicing of them.

The activity of an environmental engineer is – essentially – system engineering. It means planning and harmonization of economical, technological processes with the sustainable utilization of the natural resources in interest of the operational capability of the society and its institutions; shortly maintaining the function of our civilization.

The Department of Applied Sustainability is a workgroup producing multidisciplinary analysis, planning and decision supporting services. We are also training our students for applying this mind and using multidisciplinary knowledge this complex way in problem solving.
