Scientific activities

The department was established in 1992 and since then has been performing its work in the field of environmental sciences, environmental management, and regional sciences.

Primary task of the department is to teach the main subjects of the Environmental Engineering BSc degree; however it also takes part in the trainings of several BSc and MSc degrees, primarily in the Faculty of Engineering Sciences.

The department carries out all the educational tasks and R&D activities of the training that is based on research of the complex model of environmental state assessment.

There is no separate laboratory operated by the department but there are close partnerships with geodesic, geotechnical, chemical and construction engineering laboratories. There is an external group of department at the North-Transdanubian National Inspectorate For Environment, Nature and Water.
